Quest Technology actively looks for opportunities to give back to the community. We provide assistance to those in greatest need. We support organizations with community projects that foster; education, respect for humanity and care to individuals. Quest works to create a team work environment, where people feel inspired to engage in world efforts to affect positive change.
“Every year my wife, Mae, and I, join the Gadamasetti family of Redwood City for charity work in San Francisco. Last year we participated at the Food Bank in the Portrero district of San Francisco to help package foodstuffs for an afternoon. This year, just before Christmas, we ventured over to the Soup Kitchen on Polk St. in San Francisco, to help prepare meals for the underprivileged in the City.
Our hosts at the Food Bank were great, and I even learned a couple things about slicing carrots. Every year the charity work is enjoyable, and it’s great to give back to help the community.”

2016 Gold Country Tour de Cure by the American Diabetes Association
Saturday, May 21st, 2016; Rocklin, CA
Our own Team Quest sponsored cyclist, Chip Baslock participated in the 25th Annual Gold County Tour de Cure Ride held in Rocklin, CA. Chip completed the century ride which covered over 3800 feet of climbing!
The event raised $190,000 thanks to 364 riders and raises over $29 million annually to help find a cure for diabetes.

Haiti
When people hear the name of Haiti most remember the earthquake in 2010 that killed 200,000 people and destroyed countless families and homes. It is a country that has one hospital bed for every 10,000 Haitians in need. Only 53% of Haitians can read and write and many children are not cared for. To hear such facts makes anyone’s heart heavy. Positive change happens when people care and choose to take action.
Quest cares and contributes to the change by supporting Chip Baslock, Quest’s technical manager of over ten years. Chip and his wife Michele travel to Haiti twice a year returning to the same community west of Port-au-Prince.
“Our focus is on long term self-sustainability and the family unit. When someone young or old has a skill, is coached in business and money management and has access to a micro loan, many positive changes take place that do not create further dependence on charity.”
To address this need, they partner with a local Haitian Church and trade school. Chip and Michele have worked alongside Haitian school administrators and teachers in classes such as cooking, sewing, basic and advanced English, music and window making. Sustainable change comes when Haitians can support themselves and care for the basic needs of a family. There has been proven and repeated success with this mode of change. It is also encouraging to note that 99% of micro loans have been re-paid in full.
In addition, they provide several vacation bible school teachings for the local children and local orphanages, providing food, visiting and encouraging local family’s as well as working with local doctors to provide free medical clinics for those in need.
“To send aid without relationship and love is temporary. We plan to return again and again to build these relationships as we have seen firsthand the difference it is making. Change is happening in Haiti. It is slow but sure. We are able to do this through the prayers, donations and financial support of many including Quest. We are forever grateful.”
